The extraction of a dental implant may be necessary for different reasons; malposition, screw or implant fracture, or advanced peri-implantitis, among others. During the last decades, different procedures and techniques have been proposed to remove osseointegrated dental implants with different advantages and disadvantages. Today, thanks to the KEXIM explantation kit, the implant removal procedure has been simplified and has become an easier and more predictable procedure.
